Off Leash K9 Training, Fort Lauderdale · The Isles & the Boulevard
Dog Training in Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale
Life on the Las Olas Isles is lived in public and on water. Your dog rides the boat from the canal behind the house, then trots the Boulevard past packed patio tables an hour later. There is no higher-visibility place in Fort Lauderdale to own a dog — every ounce of training (or lack of it) shows. We build dogs that make Isles living look effortless.
- Serving every isle, Mola to Coconut Isle
- Mobile — we come to you
The Patio Test
Las Olas Boulevard's dining strip is genuinely dog-friendly — Wild Sea at the Riverside Hotel seats dogs on its sidewalk terrace, Moxies has a pet-friendly covered patio, and B Square Burgers welcomes them too. But a standing invitation assumes a dog who can hold a down-stay through a two-hour dinner while servers, strollers, and other dogs stream past a foot away. That's an extended, distraction-proofed “place” — and it's core curriculum in our obedience programs.
The Dock Test
Nine isles — Mola, Isle of Capri, Bontona, Lido, San Marco, Coral Way, Royal Plaza, Isle of Palms, Coconut Isle — and a deep-water canal behind nearly every home. Boat dogs need their own skill set: loading calmly, holding place on a moving deck, ignoring pelicans, and a recall that works at the dock's edge. We proof all of it where it happens, because a command that only works in the living room is no command at all.
Three Ways In
Private lessons building sit, place, heel, down, and recall to off-leash reliability — Boulevard-ready manners included. Obedience training for Las Olas dogs from $650.
Two immersive weeks with a pro trainer; your dog comes home with 7 guaranteed commands and a lifetime refresher. The 2-week board & train is $2,900.
Isles puppies meet crowds, boats, and other dogs early — we make sure those first exposures build confidence, not fear. Puppy training from $100.
Dogs who bark and lunge at the Boulevard's constant parade do best starting with aggression & reactivity training, and in-home lessons bring the whole program to your isle — front gate, dock, and all.
One more local perk worth training for: Canine Beach, the city's only legal dog beach, sits minutes away at Sunrise Boulevard and A1A. It runs Friday through Sunday afternoons in its posted section, a city permit (with proof of vaccination) is required for each dog, and leashes are mandatory coming and going. Off-leash freedom inside the zone is exactly the situation a trained recall was built for — sandy, salty, seagull-filled chaos, and your dog still turns on a dime when you call. That's the standard we train to, because around here your dog will actually use it.
Owners Who Took the Leap
We couldn’t be happier with the results from the 2 week board & train. Our mini golden doodle, Ginger, was very sassy and even aggressive towards other dogs. She still has her loving personality, but with great manners!! She’s able to walk off leash with us and listens to commands. We would highly recommend the training.
Off Leash did a wonderful job with our pup! She is very well behaved now and i look forward to utilizing the follow on Off Leash training in the future.
